Christmas 2007
I'm so excited about this Christmas season, and I hope you will join me in the celebration of what God has done for all of us.
"Born to Die"
5" x 7"

This card has a traditional theme with a modern and thought-provoking image.
This card clearly communicates your love and faith to friends and family, saved
and unsaved. The message on the inside says:

"Celebrating God's purpose and plan
to reconcile, to heal, and to save man!
May you experience the joy, peace and love
God has sent you from above!
Merry Christmas!"

The back of the card also has a short gospel message, motivated by love. It
reads:

"The celebration of Christ Jesus' birth is just a foretaste of the joy, the peace,
the love and the freedom we experience through Christ's death on the cross.
Those who accept and follow Christ's sacrifice bow with hearts full of thanks at
the humility of God Almighty who loved us enough to come to earth and save us
all. Because of the death penalty Christ paid on the cross, we are freed to
experience the love, the warmth and the joy of Christmas all year long. It is only
natural to want to celebrate God's gift to us, and to want to share this gift with
those we love. That is what Christmas means to me, and that's why someone
who loves you sent this card."

Believing friends and family will celebrate Christ with you. Unbelievers will
understand not only why Christmas is special to you, but why sharing your faith
with them is an expression of love for them.

This card is still unpriced, but ordering and/or expressing interest in advance
will help me to keep the cost low. Please

Artist's Statement

As I reflected on the Christmas story and thought about the
significance and the lessons we can gain from it, what
really stood out to me was the most crucial truth of all: That
God Himself humbly came to earth, was born as a baby,
lived his life as an example and ultimately fulfilled His
purpose to save mankind by dying on a cross. He was born
for a purpose. The innocent took the punishment of the
guilty.

This could easily become a morbid or guilt provoking idea,
but the truth of Christ is not that way at all for believers. It is
the most freeing thing we will ever experience- and with
freedom comes joy and peace and love and passion.
I used bright colors, not only to convey the message boldly,
but to convey the message in a celebratory manner. I broke
up the
original painting to emphasize the innocent baby and
the cross. I wanted the message of Christmas to be
conveyed boldly, to be in line with my
mission statement.

I thought of a compromise. I thought that maybe it should be
less bold and more like other cards that sell well. But I think
you will find that in the chaos of the Christmas season,
when religiosity and tradition are abundant, many cards'
messages will be lost. This is the most important message
anyone could ever receive. If you are bold enough to send
it, this card is bold enough to stand apart.
